Must I purchase your fund through a broker?
It is not necessary to purchase shares of the Olstein All Cap Value Fund through a broker. If you wish to invest directly, please proceed to our Request Literature page for a prospectus and application. However, we believe that it important to have professional advice when planning your investment strategy. Since we cannot provide investment advice directly to individual investors, we believe that a financial professional can help you to plan a balanced overall investment plan.
I don't want to use the services of a fee-based planner...Can I still purchase your Adviser Class share?
We are sorry, but we are not able to offer our Adviser Class share directly to you. However, we encourage you to refer to our Class C share, which is invested in the same portfolio of securities as our Adviser Class share. Or, consider retaining a fee-based financial advisor or signing up for an eligible brokerage program that charges an asset-based annual fee. Please refer to our prospectus for additional information.
What type of accounts do you offer?
The Olstein Funds currently offers the following types of non-retirement accounts: Individual, Joint, Uniform Gift to Minors, Corporation, Trust (including ERISA), Partnership and Other Entity. We also offer the following retirement and tax-deferred accounts: IRA, IRA Rollover, Roth IRA, Conversion Roth IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and Coverdell Education Savings Account. Please note that additional documentation may be required for certain account types. Please refer to our Request Literature page for forms and documentation. Please note that we do not offer 403b, Prototype Pension and Prototype Profit Sharing accounts. However, many of the brokerage firms that offer the Olstein Funds do offer these accounts.
Do you offer on-line account access?
We do not offer on-line account access at this time. If you are interested in frequently obtaining your Olstein Funds account information, you do have several options. You can access your account information 24 hours a day through our automated telephone system. Of course, you can speak with a representative during our regular business hours (currently Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Eastern Time). Another option would be to open an account with a brokerage firm that provides its clients with on-line account access. We are constantly evaluating the services offered to our shareholders, and may offer on-line capabilities in the future.
I have moved...Can I E-Mail you my new address?
Due to the non-secure nature of E-Mail, we can not accept address change requests sent via E-Mail. Address change requests must be submitted to us in writing, and signed by all account owners. You should note your old and new addresses, plus update your telephone number so that we can contact you with any questions. Please mail your request to: The Olstein Funds, P.O. Box 701, Milwaukee, WI 53201-0701. Once your request has been processed, we will mail you a confirmation letter.
Do you offer an automatic investment plan?
Yes, we do offer an automatic investment plan. Once you have opened your account with the minimum investment, you can arrange to have periodic investments ($100 minimum) made in the Olstein Funds taken directly from your checking or savings account. Simply complete the appropriate section on our Purchase Application, or if you are an existing shareholder, contact shareholder services at (800) 799-2113 for additional information. We do not charge a fee for this service. Though the plan does not assure a profit and does not protect against a loss in a declining market, the plan does enable you to invest on a regular basis providing an easy and systematic approach to investing.
